Course Objectives:

1. Students will become knowledgeable through review and research, of the involvement of the Ekklesia in the transformation and development of local communities.
2. Students will be able to evaluate and measure the effectiveness of their Christian in City Transformation and Development.
3. Students will develop sensitivity to the particular assets and needs of local communities within the broader society and nation
4. Students will develop professional skills for the delivery of programs for the empowerment of the poor, mitigation of crime and violence, and enhancement of the quality of life in local communities.
5. Students will learn to design projects for initiating community transformation and development through their Christian Ministries and where needed, provide civil governmental leadership within the nation.
6. Students will appreciate the need for community development as a spiritual responsibility within the mission mandate of the Ekklesia of Christ.
